One tap reads any response aloud. Sentence-by-sentence prosody, sanitized for speech, with Premium macOS voices automatically preferred. On the hardware device, Piper-quality voice ships built-in.
Photo identification
Snap a mushroom, rash, plant, animal track, wound, or piece of gear. ARKVOR looks at the image and tells you what it's seeing — and what to do about it — without uploading your photo anywhere.
Conversation history
Every chat is saved on the device so you can pick up where you left off. Delete a thread any time — data never leaves the hardware, so only you can read it.

Emergency mode
A red Emergency button on every screen opens one-tap chips for the ten most critical scenarios: severe bleeding, CPR, choking, unconscious, burn, snakebite, allergic reaction, fall, hypothermia, lost.
Guided workflows
For procedures with more than five steps — wound closure, splinting, water purification, CPR — ARKVOR walks you through one step at a time. You confirm you've done each one before the next appears.
Safety gates & grounding
Known-dangerous advice is hard-blocked — never "suck out snake venom," never "pop the blister," never invent a species it hasn't actually read about. Every response carries a confidence chip: green (high), yellow (moderate), red (verify).

Set a PIN on first boot. Forget it? A single recovery word resets access — no email, no support call, no account required. The knowledge base stays intact through reset.

No sign-up, no sign-in, no analytics pings, no cloud sync. Not even anonymized usage data. ARKVOR doesn't know who you are — and neither do we.
Display modes for any light
Dark, light, daylight (max-contrast for direct sun), and night (red-tint, preserves night vision). One tap to cycle through — chosen deliberately, not stolen from the OS.

You slice your hand opening a can. You type "I just cut my hand bad" — or tap Emergency → Severe Bleeding. ARKVOR reads back the tourniquet sequence in your ear while you apply pressure. It knows you're in Estes Park, that the nearest ER is six miles south, and that you don't have a CAT tourniquet in your kit — so it tells you what to improvise with instead.
